The Real Insurance Harbour 10 was created in 2012 to provide a unique ‘warm-up’ event for locals whilst training for longer distances such as City2Surf, the TCS Sydney Marathon presented by ASICS and other spring races across Australia.
We designed a flat and fast course with a spectacular harbour backdrop, allowing runners to have a picturesque racing experience combined with a personal best!
The popularity of the 10km event led to the introduction of a 5km distance to provide an accessible option for those looking to take on their first fun run or those getting back into fitness.
The event plays host to a two-day expo on Friday 24th & Saturday 25th July, located at the Overseas Passenger Terminal in the Rocks where event partners can connect with runners and the general public in this busy metropolitan hub. This set-up remains for race day and doubles as the post-race recovery area.
The event has been established for 15 years and has proven to be a hit with the Sydney running and fitness community, filling a gap in the winter calendar and attracting an affluent audience of 9,000+ participants from Sydney and its surrounds.
